Review | Sigma Beauty Kabuki F80 Brush

Finding a new foundation brush is like finding the perfect dress. It's got to work well for you, help cover up any little imperfections and be comfortable to wear (or easy to use in the brushes case). I had the long and painful task of looking for a new foundation brush not so long ago and it took me a very long time to choose the perfect brush. My Real Techniques Base Face brush, although served me extremely well, had seen much much better days. I do still love this brush so I wasn't looking to replace it (it's still in my collection) but I always see the end of a product or tool as an excuse to try something new, and that's where cohorted.com came in and saved the day.

When it comes to make up brushes the top three affordable but brilliant brushes that come to most beauty bloggers minds are (of course) Real Techniques, Zoeva and Sigma brushes. I already have most of the Real Techniques in my collection and I've had my eye on the Zoeva Rose Gold brush set for what seems like a life time now (it might just have to go on my christmas wish list as it's pretty darn expensive) but when I saw cohorted.com had a Sigma brush coming up in their latest list I was waiting at 5:55 to buy one as soon as 6pm struck!

The Sigma Beauty Kabuki F80 Brush is usually £17.95 but thanks to the amazing cohorted.com I got it for a even more reasonable £14.36! I was extremely excited to try it out but had to endure the painstaking day of taking picture before it got covered in foundation until I could actually use it.

Now for the review. I have to admit I wasn't the biggest fan of this brush when I first started using it but a true beauty blogger knows sometimes first impressions are completely wrong! I stuck with it and now I'm head over heels in love. My problems at first were due to me not being used to having to blend for so long to get a even coverage but practice makes perfect and I was soon buffing away and creating a smooth base with ease.

The bistles are lovely and dense so it doesn't soak up all the foundation instead of actually distributing it evenly across your face. This brush is also the softest I have ever felt, it almost feels like I'm buffing my skin with silk when I use it. The Sigma Beauty Kabuki F80 is great for creating a flawless look but, as I said before, you have to spend a little bit of time buffing to create the perfect look. Once you've mastered the perfect buffing technique the brush leaves absolutely no streaks on your face at all!

I've used this brush everyday now and I couldn't be happier with it. The quality is amazing and it creates the most beautiful finish. I'm not sure on how it measures up when it comes to cleaning as (thankfully) I haven't had the brush long enough for it to reach the painstaking cleaning phase yet (we know we all hate that process don't we!?!) but at the moment I can't say a bad word about this brush! I couldn't recommend it enough.

Have you tried the Sigma Kabuki brush yet? What Sigma brushes would you recommend? What's you favourite brush brand? Let me know below.
