March Favourites ft Bumble & Bumble, Body Shop, Kat Von D

So Spring has finally (pretty much) sprung and we are welcoming April with open arms, well at least I am as it is my birthday at the end of the month, and although I'm not looking forward to reaching one year closer to 30, I am looking forward to having something to celebrate. March has been a busy month with my workload increasing and a lot of travelling to parents and parent in-law's over the weekends (hence the lack of blogging this month) however that hasn't stopped me from falling in love with a handful of beauty products. So here we go, my March favourites.

My first favourite has to go to the product that has, no joke, changed my life. I never thought that a product could change my skin so much in such a short period of time but the Body Shop Drops of Youth Concentrate has done just that. As a girl with oily skin I had come to terms with the fact that, although I could keep it at bay or reduce the level of shine, I would always have a "natural glow" to the put it nicely. The Drops of Youth Concentrate has literally changed my skin type so much that my oily skin is actually now a thing of the past. I plan on doing a full review on this concentrate to really sing its praises, but in summary this product has a serum consistency that sinks into the skin rediculously quickly and feels like silk as it does so. I never thought I'd ever stray away from my faithful moisturiser but this concentrate has completely changed my knowledge of the type of skincare I should be using.

Something else that has helped improve my skin this month is this silicone facial cleanser brush. Now, as I got this from TK Maxx and threw the box away I can't remember which brand it came from, however I have found one pretty much identical for the same price here. This is definitely a dupe of the Foreo Luna cleanser, which I haven't tried out (as it's 8 times the price) but I no longer feel the need to as this one is just incredible. With two different vibration settings the silicone cleanser brush makes my skin feel sooo smooth after every use and my skin has really cleared up since using it. I've been complimented so many times on my complexion since this came into my life.

My next favourite has to be the Kat Von D Shade and Light Contour palette. I featured the Kat Von D Shade and Light Eye palette in my January favourites and felt it'd be rude not to rave on about how much I've been loving the contour palette too. With three contour shades and three highlighters there is no need for any others in your collection! The powders are really creamy and easy to apply as well as blend; and the pigmentation is incredible. Just a little amount goes a very long way with these. Ok, so the darker shade is too dark for me but it is will be great if I ever, god forbid, want to create that Kim K extreme contoured look. The highlighters are not only great for emphasising those check bones but also brilliant for setting under eye concealer.

Next we have a product that I had totally forgotten about until I shopped my stash. The Amazing Cosmetics Amazing Concealer gives the best coverage out of all the concealers in my collection, and there's a hell of a lot of concealers in there let me tell you! The consistency is very thick; so it's not one to pack on as it has the tendency to crease, however this concealer is perfect for those really dark eye bag days and those times where you're running on little sleep. As I am someone who has the worse dark circles you'll ever see, this concealer is an absolute godsend to me.

Next we have a new love of mine; which I just happened to discover by chance (and you can read that story here). The Maybelline Lash Sensational Mascara is well and truly the best high street/drug store mascara I have ever tried. In my full review I compare it to the YSL Babydoll mascara and I am in no way being over the top when I say that. It gives great length, amazing volume and holds the best curl I've ever's a must for all.

Finally I have something that, like the Amazing Concealer, has come to my attention again after loving it a few years ago. The Bumble and Bumble Thickening Spray is bringing much needed volume to my hair along with a big dose of texture that is always needed for someone that has straight but boring locks like mine. Ok, it's not cheap, but it really is worth the money for the amazing things it does to your hair.

So that's the lot for you; all the things I have been loving over March and they will all no doubt be staying in my daily routine for the next few months. What's made it to your March Favourites? Leave any links below.

January Favourites | ft Co Lab and Kat Von D

This is not only my first favourites post for the year but it is also my first favourites post since March...oops! I won't give the usual long-winded introduction to this post and will just head straight into what I have been loving this month.

First things first my favourite thing in January has been organisation! I know, I know I sound like a grandma, but I have loved trying to get my life in order and get more organised in my day to day life. With absolutely no connection to this (but I promise it will make sense in a minute) I have also loved all things leather this month and (here's the connection) my new leather 2016 diary from Paperchase has definitely been making a big impact on my life. Along with this I have totally fallen in love with this beautiful tanned leather purse from Kin by John Lewis (sadly this purse is no longer in stock but the smaller coin purse is still available here). Both are such amazing quality and made from the softest leather (or fake leather, I'm not sure if they're real or not) and I'm just obsessed with them.

My next favourite is the product that was so good it convinced me to start blogging again after my 9 month hiatus. The Sephora Collection Cream Lip Stain's are completely amazing and to read my full review, click here. In short, if you want a lip product that literally last's all day without the need of topping up and feels so natural on your lip then you need one of these lip stains in your life. I picked up both Marvellous Mauve and Watermelon Slice on a recent trip to New York and haven't stopped wearing them since. My personal favourite is Marvellous Mauve (the purple/brown shade). The best thing about these stains is that they aren't drying at all. I can get really chapped lips and these stains don't irritate them at all. A huge thumbs up from me.

Next up is an absolute savior in my life and that's dry shampoo. Actually, it's not just any old dry shampoo but the Ruth Crilly Co Lab dry shampoo. Ok, I admit I have been obsessed with these for months but recently I've been trying to train my hair to last an extra day without washing and these dry shampoos have been a lifesaver. The best thing about these is that they really do soak up all the oils and grease (I am aware of how gross that sounds) without even a hint of white once rubbed in. There are many different scents in the Co Lab range and they are all equally lovely. Not only can you get the normal version of this dry shampoo but you can also get an extreme volume option, which really does give you hair that extra lift. I even spray the extreme volume version to clean hair as it gives my hair that little extra something. These can's do cost a little more than your average Batiste (£4.49 for the extreme volume and £3.49 for the regular can) but it's always on offer in Superdrug, I don't think I've ever paid full price for a bottle. You also get 200ml in your average can, and it really does last ages.

Last but not least, the Kat Von D Shade and Light Eye Palette; which really has reinstated my love for eye shadows. I am not the sort of person that spends large amounts of money on eye shadows which is why I have stayed away from buying the hyped Urban Decay Naked Palette. However, after watching and reading hundreds of Sephora Haul's before heading to New York, this palette came up in nearly every single one of I just had to get it didn't I!! Not only are the shades all matte (which is a must when it comes to me and eye shadows) but the pigment of these shades is incredible. They last all day without fading and all the colours go together so well. The shades all blend out so easily too, it's actually a joy to use these shadows, and coming from someone who 9 times out of 10 can't be arsed to put on eye liner let alone a shadow, that's saying something.

So that's it, my short but sweet January favourites. What have you been loving this month? Have any of these made your list? Leave your January favourites links below so I can take a look, and once again; thanks for reading.
